Mtn Brook Tournament and Oak Grove
HMS started out extremely strong in Mountain Brook on Friday Night, with wins over Clay Chalkville (10-0), Riverchase (12-0) and Berry (14 - 1) before we took our first loss to Thompson.
A Few Pics of the Thompson Game
We were part of the top teams to move on, but lost in elimination to Simmons by the score of 5-4.
It was a lot of games and it was tough losses in the end.
March 9th brought Oak Grove to Hueytown! Hueytown started a LOT of 7th graders bringing in the 8th graders toward the end when Oak Grove drove in two runs to tie the game. The team pulled off the win after loading the bases and driving home the winning run. The final score was 8-7.
Hueytown will travel to play Bumpus on Friday night in a make up game from the first game of the season. Let's see a great turnout!
